Hi, I’m jade!

I grew up in Western Sydney, spent a few years traveling and then landed in Melbourne (read: I’m a bit cultured but also a bit bogan). I studied Media Arts and Film Production at UTS (Sydney), magical realism at Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico) and Arabic in Damascus right before the Arab Spring started.

During the pandemic I spent a lot of time inside my apartment and had a few breakdowns, but importantly I learned how to shuck an oyster and kick an AFL footy.

I love colour and form, light and shadow, and playing with composition. At one stage in my life I only dressed in two styles - ‘optical illusion’ or ‘visually confusing’; thankfully I’m not trying as hard at dressing anymore because I pour my energy into making photos.

Like your typical inner-city leftie, I care about the environment, justice, equality, and all that woke stuff. I hope that I bring these values to my work, and at the end of the day I’d love to work with good people on some cool projects.
