“Tin City – Morning and Eve” was shot in the remote squatter community known as Tin City – tucked away behind the rolling sand dunes of Stockton Beach on the New South Wales central coast. The small encampment of 11 shacks is a constant source of controversy – the shacks and inhabitants have been there for over 30 years, yet their presence is not welcomed by the groups that manage the area – National Parks and Wildlife Services and the local Aboriginal Land Council.

Tin City’s future is in question as the squatters lease ends and groups petition for their removal, but no one cannot deny the lasting impression one is left with after visiting this arresting and strange little community.
